Forklift Operator

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator with proficiency in operating stand-up, sit-down, and/or clamp trucks. This role is essential to warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products, materials, or equipment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and familiar with handling fragile or high-value items using specialized forklift attachments such as clamps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts to move, load, and unload materials
  • Handle and transport goods including pallets, boxes, and fragile products with clamp attachments
  • Accurately pick, stage, and place materials in assigned warehouse locations
  • Inspect equipment before each use and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent product damage
  • Use RF scanners, shipping/receiving software, or manual logs as needed
  • Assist in inventory counts, quality checks, and general warehouse duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work areas
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience operating stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and basic computer use preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic

Preferred:

  • Experience handling paper rolls, appliances, or other high-value or delicate materials with clamp attachments
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics setting
