Job Title: Assistant Director of Finance
Location: El Encanto - Santa Barbara, California - On-Site, In Person Position

Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Finance supports the financial operations of the hotel and works closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and departmental support. This position is well suited for a finance professional with hospitality experience who's ready to take on more responsibility.
Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, income audit, and payroll
• Support monthly financial close and prepare supporting schedules and reports
• Contribute to budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
• Coordinate with other departments to monitor spending and review financial performance
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation
• Help oversee and support accounting team members as needed
• Serve as backup to the Director of Finance when required

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in hospitality finance or accounting
• Familiarity with USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry)
• Strong Excel skills; experience with M3, ProfitSword, and HMS preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
