The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing facility's operations, including production, safety, quality, and staff management, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production while meeting business objectives.

Background Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Plant / Floor Manager or similar leadership role, preferably in a job shop environment
  • Strong background in screw machining, CNC, or precision manufacturing
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawing
  • Certification in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality certifications.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines
  • Monitor production metrics (cycle time, scrap rates, downtime) and adjust as necessary
  • Oversee the setup and operation of CNC / screw machines and other shop equipment
  • Lead a team of screw machine operators, setup technicians, and maintenance personnel
  • Ensure product meets engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies in production and implement process improvements
  • Schedule and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades
  • Manage tooling inventory and ensure proper setups
