Role
Worldpac is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Category Manager - Indirect Materials to lead sourcing initiatives and manage supplier relationships for a wide range of non-production-related goods and services. This role plays a critical part in optimizing procurement spend, improving supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies across indirect categories such as:

• Office & Administrative Supplies
• Janitorial and Sanitation Products

• MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations)
• Marketing Servicesa
• IT & Telecommunications
• Human Resources Services
• Travel & Fleet Management
  

The Senior Category Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and ITto develop category strategies, identify sourcing opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and service.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories in alignment with company goals and stakeholder needs.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including market analysis, RFP/RFQ development, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and implementation.
• Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, KPIs, and service-level agreements to ensure consistent quality and value.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and process efficiencies across spend categories.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and operational needs.
• Monitor category spend and market trends to adjust strategies and mitigate risks, including supply disruption and cost volatility.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and compliance records.
• Support company-wide initiatives such as sustainability, supplier diversity, and digital procurement transformation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, corporate guidelines, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement with a focus on indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and multi-category spend.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret data and make fact-based decisions.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred), procurement platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, consultative approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CPIM) is a plus.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization or cross-functional team environment with large-scale wholesale or distribution focus is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and data-driven capabilities with a sharp commercial mindsetsomeone who is both strategic and hands-on when it comes to deal-making, negotiation, and driving business growth.
  

Pay Range
USD $103,500.00 - USD $172,500.00 /Yr.
