Capitol Aggregates is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to support our Aggregates Division. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of parts, services, and equipment that keep our operations running efficiently. This position supports multiple plant locations and requires a solutions-driven mindset, strategic negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with both field and corporate teams.

What Youll Do
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, quoting, negotiation, and issuing purchase orders.
- Partner with plant managers, maintenance teams, and operations leaders to understand and fulfill purchasing needs.
- Build strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability, competitive pricing, and responsive service.
- Coordinate purchases of equipment, parts, and services in alignment with internal controls and budget guidelines.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations to ensure accurate coding, risk protection, and policy compliance.
- Resolve supply delays, delivery discrepancies, or contract issues promptly and professionally.
- Support capital project procurement as needed across the division.
- Travel regularly to plant sites for direct coordination with operations and to support procurement initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing in an industrial, construction materials, or aggregates environment.
- Strong negotiation, organization, and vendor management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize demands, and communicate clearly with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with field-based plant operations and a service-first approach to supporting them.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the state, including overnight stays.
