Purchasing Project Manager
The Purchasing Project Manager will drive and coordinate all Purchasing projects with focus in Tariffs and cost reduction related initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a structured PMO mindset, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a strong analytical foundation to support strategic purchasing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and ensure timely execution of NA Purchasing projects through collaboration with cross-functional teams (commodity teams, platforms, SQE, plants), planning, prioritizing, managing escalation and resolution.
- Facilitate regular project reviews, manage tracking and reporting to ensure alignment with company targets.
- Maintain up-to-date and thorough knowledge of U.S. tariffs and trade regulations.
- Partner with Trade Compliance, Logistics, and Commodity Purchasing to assess tariff impacts.
- Coordinate mitigation strategies and actions of tariff-related costs and savings.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track purchasing KPIs, including cost savings, compliance, and supplier engagement.
- Provide centralized reporting on purchasing-related activities such as supplier contracts, compliance metrics, and supplier engagement.
- Support in global purchasing process improvement projects as assigned.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience working in a PMO or centralized project governance role.
- Strong understanding of U.S. trade tariffs and their implications on global sourcing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Monday.com).
- Exhibits a high level of attention to detail, effective task prioritization, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or Six Sigma certification.
Pay Transparency:
The annual salary for this role is USD $105,000 - $176,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
