This role is essential to ensuring that our team members receive the training, coaching, and support they need to succeed in providing outstanding care and service. The Trainer will focus on onboarding new hires, building and delivering training programs, and reinforcing practice standards across clinical, front office, and patient experience operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and facilitate engaging training programs for onboarding and continuing education.
- Deliver hands-on training in practice management systems (Open Dental), scheduling, insurance processes, and patient communication.
- Coach and mentor employees to reinforce best practices in patient care, compliance, and service excellence.
- Partner with leadership to identify training needs, implement solutions, and align programs with organizational goals.
- Track and monitor employee progress during and after training, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Keep all training materials current and compliant with OSHA, HIPAA, and California labor laws.
- Act as a go-to resource for team members with questions on workflows, policies, and service standards.
- Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that reflects the values of Lollipop Dental & Sweet Smiles.
- Prior experience in training or team development within healthcare, dental, or pediatric environments preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
- Highly organized with excellent time-management abilities.
- Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental preferred) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Ability to collaborate with doctors, managers, and team members across multiple offices.

- Ability to travel between multiple office locations as required. Garden Grove, Placentia, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Cerritos, Lake Forest, Long Beach, & Tustin.
- Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate clinical or administrative processes during training sessions.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule based on training and operational needs.
