Finished Product Forklift/Stacker Operator

Inspect freezer and racks for damage. Any problems should be immediately documented and reported to Supervisor or Manager. Finished Product Forklift Operator (FPFO) assumes responsibility for any damage not documented and reported. Check forklift for damage and proper functioning. Any problems should be immediately documented on the Forklift Operation Log and reported to Supervisor or Manager. FPFO assumes responsibility for any damage not documented and reported to Supervisor or Manager before shift begins. Obtain and verify finished product barcode labels. Apply and scan barcodes to assign pallet identification to each pallet produced. Create, apply, and scan barcodes to mix pallets at start-up and label these pallets appropriately. Manage freezer inventory and maintain Finished Product inventory stored in freezer. Insure that finished product conveyor is operating correctly and that all finished product is moved into the freezer in a timely manner. Check and maintain tape on case sealer. Check and maintain stretch wrap on stretch wrapper. Assist in robot operation including: troubleshooting, maintaining pallets in pallet feeder, maintaining pallet pads, etc. Review full containers for compliance to specifications. Check code dates. Maintain ink supply on the case coder. Assist in keeping pallets of boxes and ends available to box machine operator. Load pallets of finished product in the appropriate freezer racks as needed. Maintain clean work area in freezer and stacking areas. Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Individual must have or be able to do: Have valid, updated forklift license issued by GSF. Total and full range of motion physical. Lift and 80+ pounds. All senses for organoleptic check of raw material, i.e., sight, smell, etc. Constant standing, walking, and moving. Wearing protective equipment and/or clothing as required. Working in an area with temperatures from 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and occasionally in temperatures of less than 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Learn bar coding, using bar-coding equipment. Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
