What You'll Do:

The Demand Planning position is responsible for forecasting activities related to both customer and product forecasts over a 24-month horizon. This highly visible role involves collaboration across departments including Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, and Product Teams to ensure accurate business forecasting. You will also manage customer relationships between Traeger Operations and their respective customer teams to promote collaboration and transparency.

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Create demand forecasts for units and revenue at multiple levels of aggregation based on micro and macro market trends.
  • Review historical sales data, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical models, and evaluate forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor sales data closely to ensure forecasts reflect current retail trends.
  • Mine data structures within BI and data warehouses to facilitate clean data history for forecasting.
  • Develop a new product launch forecast process with input from Product and Sales leaders.
  • Lead monthly discussions on product and forecast needs with Sales and Product teams.
  • Contribute to a CPFR process by working with Sales, Marketing, and Customers to ensure accurate demand information.
  • Provide input to Supply Planning for inventory strategies on existing items, new product launches, and end-of-life strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the monthly S&OP meetings with leadership.
  • Support the design and implementation of an S&OP process across operations and sales teams.
  • Assist with revenue and product forecasts across channels and customers.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for Sales to aid forecasting and planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to create purchase plans for accessories and consumables.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training in supply chain and/or operations.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems (Netstock/Epicor or similar).
  • Data analysis experience (SQL, AWS Redshift, Domo/PowerBI) highly preferred.
  • Experience organizing and leading stakeholder meetings.
  • Excellent organizational skills to balance operations, sales, and finance needs.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers regarding forecasting processes.
