About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Financial Controller to take on a pivotal role in leading financial management and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition specific to the metals trading and processing activities. This role demands the development and maintenance of internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller will also be tasked with preparing various financial statements and management reports to support strategic decision-making, as well as partnering with commercial, operations, and senior leadership teams to drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and performance analysis.
Applicants for the Vice President, Financial Controller position at the company must have a Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and a Chartered Accountant designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification). A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, particularly within the metals, commodities, or industrial manufacturing sectors, is required. The role calls for a professional with strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, tax compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to metals trading and processing. Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools is essential, with experience in implementing or optimizing accounting systems being a plus. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, leadership capability, and the ability to communicate effectively across commercial and operational teams.
