About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP of Financial Reporting to play a key role in the strategic expansion of its network of subsidiaries and joint ventures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely preparation of SEC financial reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related earnings call supplements. This role involves close coordination with external auditors, executives, legal, and investor relations to ensure the accuracy and compliance of quarterly and annual financial reports. The VP will also be involved in ad hoc reporting, analysis, and will have oversight of various aspects of internal and external audit exams, particularly those related to financial accounting and reporting.
Applicants for the VP of Financial Reporting position at the company must have a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, an active CPA license, and 5-7 years' of experience in public accounting and/or corporate financial reporting. A strong understanding of SEC reporting standards, U.S. GAAP principles, and prior involvement with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes are essential. The role requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in reporting platforms such as Workiva/WDesk being a plus. The ideal candidate will have exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Industry experience in real estate, asset management, or financial services is highly desirable.
