About The Position
Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Neuro experience RCIS ARRT Description: The unit consists of 4 rooms, with 1 patient per room. There are 22 staff members, including RNs and techs. The day shift consists of a director, manager, and a minimum of 3 staff members per room. During the night shift, there is an on-call team with 4 staff members on STEMI call. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1. The equipment used includes all GE rooms. The documentation system utilized is Meditech and MacLab. There are call requirements with a maximum of 15 days call during critical periods. Typical procedures performed include cardiac cath, cerebella angiograms, stents, balloons, and ENT lab scrubbing. Additional preferences include the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and function independently. The dress code consists of surgical scrubs, which will be provided by the unit. The department emphasizes relationship development with both staff and patients. The department has received recognition such as a gold seal of approval for being well-run, along with an excellent management team.
