About The Position
Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: State licensed and ARRT with MRT License or RCIS required Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS, CCI RCIS Must-Have: - Cath lab scrub and closure experience for heart and leg procedures - Experience with device insertions (pacemakers/ICDs) - IR and EP experience preferred Description: Monday to Friday with call required. One weekend per month (Friday to Sunday) is necessary. Minimum of 5 weekdays for total minimum of 8 days per month on call is required. Duties include cath lab scrub, pan, and closure for all heart and leg procedures. Device insertions such as pacemakers and ICDs are a firm requirement. The facility is willing to train candidates without IR and EP experience. Skills required include accurate monitoring, cardiac mapping, and hemodynamic monitoring. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various cardiac procedures and techniques. Experience with fluoroscopy and equipment setup is necessary. Candidates will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams. Daily cases average around 15. Patient age groups are primarily adults. Knowledge of special equipment such as Impella, Claris, and OCT is advantageous. Candidates should be adaptable to a dynamic environment with various patient diagnoses. Experience with additional procedures such as endovascular interventions and cardiac assessments is preferred.
