Job Purpose

n

The primary responsibility of this position is technical support to maintenance operations including troubleshooting complex problems, determining root cause, implementation of solutions and documentation. The position requires application of software and controls, engineering, process control design and support of automated manufacturing equipment.

Tasks/Essential Duties

n

· Design and develop control systems, manufacturing equipment, control logic, and schematics.

n

· Create and update electrical/control wiring schematics in AutoCAD.

n

· Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and programming issues for equipment and mill systems.

n

· Program PLCs using ladder logic, Siemens FB, and STL in Step 7 and TIA.

n

· Program/integrate HMI and SCADA systems with WinCC, WinCC Flex, and TIA.

n

· Work with Profibus, Profinet, and industrial Ethernet networks.

n

· Apply motor control principles and variable speed drive expertise.

n

· Provide on-call technical support as needed.

n

· Develop troubleshooting and training documents for PLC programs.

n

· Maintain plant documentation (AutoCAD plans, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts).

n

· Travel minimally.

n

· Maintain strong customer relations.

n

· Contribute to maintenance department goals and performance measures.

n

Follow all relevant policies and procedures (5S, Safety, ARC policies)

Education

n

Bachelor Education specific/specialty:

n

Electrical/Automated Manufacturing Engineering

n

Qualifications required: 3 years of hands-on experience

n

Professional knowledge: Engineering

n

Job Knowledge, skills and abilities

n

n
• Must have worked successfully on several automation projects for the manufacturing industry or a system integrator.
n
• Strong knowledge of automation techniques, machine control systems, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics and computer programming
n
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
n
• Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
n
• Project management skills
n

Understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Water systems .
