JOB DESCRIPTION The Echo Sonographer performs the daily clinical operations and a wide variety of technical procedures including, but not limited to, adult and pediatric echo, stress echo, contrast imaging, agitated saline studies, and Holter analysis. Enters exam data into CPACs system, ensures completeness of exam, and prepares exam for interpretation. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.$20,000 Sign on bonus with a three year commitment Position Duties & Responsibilities:Performs echocardiography on adults and pediatric patients in accordance with lab protocols and standard practices.Reviews inpatient requisitions and prioritizes patient list in order of severity of illness, special procedures, special requests and equipment availability; revises patient schedule as new procedures are requested and circumstances change.Performs required quality control checks.Assures the procurement, storage and routing of supplies for room operation.Ensures reusable instruments are maintained and disinfected as required.Reviews patient information and orders at the time of the procedure.
