About theRole: The AdvancedMachinist plays a crucial role in the steel manufacturing industry by operatingand maintaining various types of machinery. This position requires precisionand attention to detail, as the machinist will be responsible for laying outand planning the cut path, monitoring the machining process, and adjust feedsand speeds as necessary. MinimumQualifications: •Highschool diploma or GED required •6+years machining (mill, lathe, saw, or boring machines) experience with largesteel forgings required •Mustbe able to communicate in English •Mustbe able to read and use and tape measure •Mustbe able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs PreferredQualifications: •CNC(mill or lathe) experience a plus •MDIexperience a plus •OSHAor Machining certifications a plus Responsibilities: •Operateoverhead crane for loading and unloading machines •Layoutand plan cut path •Determineproper tooling •Monitormachining process and adjust feeds and speeds as necessary •Managechip generation and maintain clean work area (sweeping and shoveling required) •Measurefinal pieces using rulers, pi tape, dial indicators, and calipers •Completedocumentation via paper or electronic format •Adhereto all safety policies and procedures Our offer: •Payranging between $21.248 and $31.872 based on experience •Extra$0.30 for working 2nd shift & extra $0.40 for working 3rd shift •Medical,Dental, and Vision benefits •STDand Life Insurance •10paid holidays •40hours of PTO plus vacation time •QuarterlyGainsharing Bonuses •SafetyIncentive Program •401Kmatching and profit sharing •Overtimeand Doubletime •Unionmembership •Monthlyemployee lunches paid for by the company
