Job Type Full-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator with expertise in setting up and operating Mazak CNC lathes (preferably with Mazatrol control systems). The ideal candidate will have experience in precision machining of complex parts, particularly in high-mix, low-volume production environments.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes (QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar models).Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.Load raw materials, install tooling, set offsets, and ensure proper program execution.Edit Mazatrol or G-code programs at the machine as necessary.Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment.Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards throughout production.Troubleshoot machine errors and perform basic diagnostics.Maintain accurate production records and logs.Required Qualifications:2-5+ years of hands-on experience operating Mazak CNC lathesStrong understanding of Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-codeExperience with part setup, tool setting, and fixture installationAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructionsKnowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selectionFamiliarity with precision measuring instruments and QC proceduresExcellent attention to detail and ability to work independentlyHigh school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training a plusPreferred Qualifications:Experience with multi-axis or live-tooling Mazak machinesFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 environmentsForklift certification or experience handling raw materialPrevious experience with SPC tracking or ERP job reportingPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsStanding, bending, and working on your feet for 8-10 hoursExposure to noise, coolant, and machine shop environment
