Under general supervision, you will perform all CT procedures while adhering to best practices and safety protocols. As a CT Technologist, you will operate computed tomography and radiography equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each examination. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare examination areas for CT procedures, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of necessary supplies.- Position patients accurately for CT procedures and adjust imaging equipment settings to obtain optimal results.- Assist physicians during examinations, including the administration of contrast materials and medications, while utilizing sterile technique when applicable.- Transfer image data to PACS and V-RAD environments for physician review and interpretation.- Maintain accurate records and technical notations as required by regulatory agencies, ensuring all files and records are correctly completed.- Draw blood and introduce IVs according to established procedures.- Assist in scheduling and managing the flow of CT examinations to optimize equipment utilization and workforce efficiency.- Demonstrate and instruct radiologic technology students and other personnel on CT equipment operation and theory, participating in formal teaching and in-service education programs as necessary.- Perform clerical tasks related to the department, including retrieving radiographic film records, filing, answering phones, and registering and scheduling patients. Qualifications: - A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or 1 year in Computed Tomography is required.- Active certifications in ARRT and BLS (AHA) are mandatory at the time of submission.- Maryland state license is required.- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
