Microbiology Lab Technician
We are seeking a skilled Microbiology Lab Technician to perform Bioburden testing on medical device products and support the Microbiology team. This role involves media preparation and sterilization using aseptic techniques during sample preparation. The technician will recognize malfunctions in laboratory equipment and either notify management or perform simple repairs, along with conducting preventative maintenance and laboratory housekeeping. Adhering to procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices is crucial. The role also includes LAL testing and training on USP 61 and USP 62.
Conduct Bioburden testing on medical device products.
Support the Microbiology team in daily operations.
Prepare and sterilize media utilizing aseptic techniques.
Recognize and address malfunctions in laboratory equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping in the laboratory.
Follow protocols for data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.
Perform LAL testing and undergo training on USP 61 and USP 62.
Join a dynamic Bio department with approximately 20 team members. The labs, while separated, collaborate closely with R&D and Chemistry labs, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment. The position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 12 am. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
