Job Description
Job Title: Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
Alternate Shift Options: 3x12s (06:30 - 19:00) available; one late week per four weeks to complete cases.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our high-performing surgical team. This position focuses on providing critical support in a dynamic operating room environment. You will be responsible for assisting surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures while ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgeries across various specialties, including Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and ensuring equipment is sterile and functioning.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and smooth operation flow.
- Monitor and maintain surgical supplies and equipment.
- Provide patient care support pre-operatively and post-operatively as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; must have a radiation badge provided by parent company.
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience required.
- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties preferred: Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology.
- Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
Work Environment:
- No weekends and major holidays.
- Potential for floating within the Perioperative facility as needed.
- Expected to precept new care team members in the operating room.
Additional Information:
- All requests for time off must be submitted upon application; approvals are based on facility needs.
- Must follow local travel policies (locals accepted within a 60-mile radius).
- The successful candidate will be expected to participate in emergency response teams if required during hurricane season (June - November).
