If you have a strong background in precision machining and enjoy working in a small-business environment where your expertise makes an impact, we'd like to hear from you.Position SummaryAs a Grade-A Toolmaker, you'll fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing operations. This role requires advanced machining skills, blueprint expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently and cost-effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and modify complex tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for the stamping process.Operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, surface grinders).Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings.Apply knowledge of tolerances, materials, and geometric dimensions.Assemble, test, and troubleshoot tooling to ensure optimal performance.Perform regular tool maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.Collaborate with production, design, and engineering teams to improve tooling processes.Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.).Mentor junior toolmakers and machinists.Follow all company safety standards and participate in production meetings.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical school/apprenticeship preferred).5-10 years of hands-on experience in toolmaking or precision machining.Advanced skills in manual and CNC machining.Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and blueprint reading.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.High precision and attention to detail.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a physically active role.Strong communication skills and ability to train others.Why Join Us?Competitive pay ($32-$38/hour based on experience)Work with a stable, privately owned company where your skills are valuedOpportunity to shape processes and mentor the next generation of toolmakersIf you're ready to take on challenging projects and work in a team-oriented environment, apply today!
