THE POSITION FanDuel is seeking a Data Scientist to drive Sportsbook customer generosity distribution and bonus spend optimization. Responsibilities include customer segmentation, modeling, automation, reporting, and data analysis across Sportsbook generosity distribution. The role involves research, optimization, and communicating results to CRM and senior management. This role offers an environment that rewards curiosity and empowers decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and innovative problem-solving. THE GAME PLAN Manage end-to-end data science projects, including stakeholder collaboration and reporting Deliver analysis, segmentation, and predictive models to enhance revenue through bonus spend optimization Improve understanding of customer behaviors and promotion effectiveness Develop new features through exploratory analysis Create and evolve models to solve business problems and improve KPIs Present insights with visualizations and clear explanations Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to optimize data pipelines Continuously develop skills and work independently with integrity Partner with stakeholders to identify improvement areas and support strategic goals Mentor and develop less experienced team members Contribute innovative ideas for revenue and customer experience improvements THE STATS Minimum 3+ years of Data Science or Analytics experience At least 1+ years deploying complex machine learning models in real-world applications Strong technical skills for high-quality quantitative analysis Proficiency in SQL and large dataset manipulation in Excel Experience with Python, R, C#, VBA, or similar tools Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus Undergraduate degree in a technical or numerate discipline Interest in sports and sports betting industry is advantageous PLAYER BENEFITS We offer comprehensive benefits including health plans, mental health support, fitness benefits, paid time off, bonuses, 401k with matching, and more.
