Overview
Medical Science Liaison (Neurology) - Mid-Atlantic at Vanda Pharmaceuticals. Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team. This role involves contributing to Medical Affairs project assignments and effectively communicating scientific concepts to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing. Responsibilities
Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team. Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments. Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing. Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives. Qualifications
Doctoral degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD) Prior experience in neurology-related field required. Preference given to those with pharmaceutical industry experience in multiple sclerosis. Immunology experience a plus Previous experience (2+ years) as an MSL or in Medical Affairs strongly preferred Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care ideal Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audience types Adept at building and maintaining relationships with others Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated ability to adapt within a dynamic environment Willingness to travel (75%) and easy access to a major metropolitan airport Job Details
