AWS EC2 owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS server instances. We’re the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS compute, storage, accelerator servers and ensuring customers have continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented people who want to help. Responsibilities
Lead a team to deliver best-in-class performance of novel hardware designs from inception through manufacturing, implementation, maturation, and eventual deprecation. Ensure core system components, including CPU and memory, meet or exceed high-performance standards while maintaining healthy performance across the EC2 server fleet. Organize a team of hardware and system development engineers to partner with silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to maintain a high-performing system component roadmap. Define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership. Enable AWS to launch next-generation server designs. Basic Qualifications
10+ years of engineering experience 5+ years of engineering team management experience 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering cloud hardware with primary focus on CPU and memory Experience partnering with product or program management teams Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications
Experience partnering with silicon providers and ODMs Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-performing applications Company
