Maintenance Technician
Location: Colfax, NC 27235
Duration: 4+ Months (Possible extension )
Pay rate range: $25 - $30/hr on w2 (All inclusive)
4:30AM - 3:30PM Monday-Friday; OT on Saturdays as needed
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production operations and lead complex maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will provide technical mentorship, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot/repair equipment with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:
Support and lead advanced maintenance tasks and mentor junior technicians Use advanced hand/power tools and standard shop equipment Operate forklifts and various lifting equipment Read/interpret mechanical & electrical schematics Perform preventative maintenance: lubrication, alignments, safety checks Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical/electrical systems Machining, welding, and fabrication Service and overhaul pneumatic/hydraulic systems Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Work efficiently with minimal supervision and complete accurate documentation Work various shifts and OT as needed Required Skills:
2 years technical training or 5+ years relevant experience Strong mechanical skills; experience with mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems Advanced knowledge in: motion controls, sensors, electrical controls, or PLC troubleshooting Prior Lockout/Tagout experience Ability to read wiring and mechanical diagrams Must supply personal hand tools and secure storage Strong communication skills and teamwork Nice to Have:
Basic PLC coding/programming Experience in HVAC, compressed air, dust collection, electrical distribution Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs; walk, climb, stand, stoop, bend, sit Comfortable working at heights (30+ ft) and in extreme temps (>95°F) Tolerance to wood dust, aluminum, factory noise, and heat
