Overview
We are seeking an
Associate ServiceNow Developer
to join our IT Service Management (ITSM) team. This role blends
application support
and
light development/configuration
of ServiceNow, with a focus on troubleshooting issues, building small enhancements, and supporting Agile delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in JavaScript, a year of hands-on ServiceNow experience, and exposure to Agile/Scrum practices.
Key Responsibilities Provide
production support
for the ServiceNow platform, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution. Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow components (forms, workflows, UI policies, client scripts, business rules, reports). Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement enhancements. Participate in
Agile/Scrum
ceremonies, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stand-ups. Use
JavaScript
to implement scripts, automation, and configuration logic within ServiceNow. Maintain system documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles for repeat issues. Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of new ServiceNow functionality and updates. Partner with senior developers and platform owners to ensure ServiceNow best practices and governance are followed. Required Skills & Qualifications
1+ year
of ServiceNow development or configuration experience. 1+ year
of production support or IT application support experience. 1+ year
of experience working in an
Agile/Scrum
environment. 1+ year
of JavaScript scripting experience (client-side or ServiceNow-specific). Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts (incident, change, problem management). Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant certification. Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, or CMDB. Exposure to ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs). Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
