The goal of our program is to implement projects in communities by 1. Sharing information about the benefits of having access to local food 2. Recruit community members to volunteer and participate in our monthly service projects 3. Share information on upcoming trainings and workshops for residents so that they can assist in revising their local food ecosystem. 4. Share information on upcoming sessions on how to alleviate some of the manpower needed to development and maintain green spaces.
Member Duties :
Our AmeriCorps members primarily will recruit volunteers to assist with community projects. Our members will educate volunteers and local community stakeholders on the importance of community gardens and the development of green spaces.
Program Benefits :
Living Allowance , Training , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Education award upon successful completion of service , Health Coverage* , Relocation Allowance , Childcare assistance if eligible .
