Our client is seeking a skilled
I&C System Design Engineer
to support design, testing, and integration of instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for an advanced energy development program. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-performance, regulatory-compliant I&C solutions.

Responsibilities:
Design and support I&C systems through final design and integration. Develop and review system requirements, specifications, drawings, and interface documents. Apply nuclear design standards, licensing requirements, and QA guidelines. Interface with suppliers and support deliverable coordination and review. Analyze instrumentation suitability for advanced energy applications. Coordinate cross-functional efforts with engineering, procurement, and licensing teams. Contribute to technical documentation, risk assessments, and project milestones. Key Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline. 8+ years of experience in I&C systems development and implementation. Familiar with IEEE and NRC design and safety standards. Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and process diagrams (P&ID). Previous work on nuclear or high-temperature systems preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills. Ability to lead cross-discipline efforts and resolve design challenges. Desired: Experience with seismic detection systems, radiation monitoring, reactor protection systems, or sensor uncertainty analysis.
Estimated Compensation Range:
$77.00-$130.00 per hour. All experience levels considered.
