Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and working knowledge in compressed air systems, boilers, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring our plant runs smoothly and meets all safety and operational standards. Must be willing to travel to multiple sites.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, boilers, and compressed air systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within the facility.
Monitor and maintain building infrastructure including lighting, doors, restrooms, and safety systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors as needed.
Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
We we are looking for
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of:
Compressed air systems
Boiler operation and maintenance
HVAC systems (diagnostics, repair, and maintenance)
General building maintenance
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Skills:
EPA Universal Certification for HVAC.
Boiler Operator License.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Basic electrical and plumbing skills.
