Conduct complex financial and tax accounting activities. Analyze and interpret accounting and income tax law changes, specifically in the affordable housing industry. Research specific tax topics and oversee the tax projections process to ensure data integrity. Collaborate with management to achieve financial objectives. Major Responsibilities
Manage the investment portfolio reporting, including calculating the annual outside tax basis, partnership and partner minimum gain or chargeback, and tax capital account balances. Prepare periodic financial forecasts and budgets for the equity investment portfolio. Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Department for quarterly ASC 740 computations, management reporting, financial disclosures, and tax filings. Review and analyze annual tax returns to ensure compliance with IRS and state tax credit regulations. Support examinations by providing documentation and responding to inquiries from IRS and state authorities. Collaborate with external CPAs on annual financial and tax reporting for syndication funds. Provide timely financial forecasts to investors. Supervise one staff member. Perform additional projects or duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax, with 10+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of partnership and corporate income tax, and familiarity with the low-income housing industry is a plus. CPA certification in California is desirable. Excellent Excel skills and ability to conduct complex financial analysis. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
