Job Description
Role: Core JAVA DEVELOPER Location: NY/NJ/CT (local candidates only) Must be able to attend F2F interviews Duration: 12 months + Minimum experience: 9 years Strong Core Java skills (experience with concurrency package, multi-threading, collections framework, and solid OOP concepts) Expertise in Spring framework, including IOC, AOP, etc. Knowledge of consuming and analyzing Tick Data; familiarity with Bloomberg APIs is a plus. Experience with Java Transactions Proficiency in Unix commands (monitoring processes, etc.) Ability to write complex SQL queries, analyze query plans, and perform tuning and indexing Domain experience in capital markets, preferably futures; profiles with non-IB experience are also welcome as multiple requirements exist. Working knowledge of Hadoop/Cloudera platform; familiarity with Sqoop, Flume, Oozie, HIVE, Spark, MapReduce is preferred.
