Technical Architect / Lead Programmer - IT/ Diagnostic Software Product

Full-time Participate as a Technical Architect and Lead member of the IT team responsible for leading the architecture of internal and external diagnostic software products. Manage day-to-day projects and tasks, develop and enforce software application standards, architecture, technical direction, databases, and analytical tools to support the company's scientific and business needs internally and externally. Continuously develop and test best practice standards for software product/system architecture, development, and create project-specific documentation as required by ISO, SOX, SDLC, and company procedures. Receives Direction From: Sr. Director, Information Technology and Diagnostic Software Products Provides Technical Direction To: Cross-Functional Project team members Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and support business and diagnostic software applications, automations, and IT infrastructure, providing best practice technology support via knowledge transfer and documentation. Create project plans, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and assign tasks to resources. Regularly update project status, timelines, and risks. Provide technological leadership, process re-engineering, and automation across projects. Supervise and guide development team members, including programmers and testers. Design, develop, test, and implement new software, including enhancements to existing systems. Support documentation per ISO and FDA standards, including specifications, design documents, and test plans. Assist in developing end-user documentation and test scripts. Mentor IT staff in coding, technology, and best practices. Lead IT staff training sessions and educational activities. Engage with vendors for new software products and technologies. Manage customer expectations and deliver software within timelines. Define requirements and create technical specifications for projects. Essential Functions:

Work within project constraints to deliver optimal solutions, estimating timelines and costs, and leading teams effectively. Contacts and Relations:

Coordinate with team members, project leaders, vendors, and participate in meetings. Accountability:

Maintain confidentiality, meet project timelines, and adhere to quality policies and standards. Qualifications:

Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field; MBA is a plus. 10-20 years of software architecture and development experience. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, web applications, Python, C#, .NET, SQL, Linux, and related technologies. Experience with medium-sized projects using Linux, Python, .NET, and databases. Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux infrastructure technologies. Bioinformatics or related coursework/experience is a plus. Desired Skills:
