Security Software Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Information Security Software Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a mature, Agile, and cross-functional software squad dedicated to building data-driven custom cybersecurity solutions. Using a cloud-first approach, this position will integrate on-premise and SaaS platforms to develop solutions that support critical metrics and data programs within the bank. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and programming to uncover insights and enhance cybersecurity initiatives. Responsibilities: Develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom code and integrations to support cybersecurity programs. Collaborate with multiple teams to co-develop solutions and access necessary data. Champion SOLID application design and contribute to establishing best practices for data foundations. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including story writing, estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives, and standups. The Ideal Candidate: Holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Experience with SQL, NoSQL, DB2, SAS, Tableau, Splunk, or Elasticsearch (preferred). Knowledge of R and/or data science-related Python libraries like Numpy, Pandas, or Scrapy is a plus. Strong background in statistical analysis, data mining, and mathematical modeling. Experience with AWS serverless and hybrid architecture, including infrastructure as code. Passionate about mentoring, modern development methodologies, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
