DevOps Release Engineer Responsibilities include
Deploying applications globally, coordinating in controlled environments using Chef Configuring SVN distributed platform for multiple applications and automating builds using Jenkins or other tools Defining a process for regulated SVN code control and builds Creating branches to support parallel development Responsible for code control and resolving merge conflicts Developing Unix/build scripts required for deployment automation Engaging and scheduling resources for deployment, implementation, and verification Acquiring final approvals from QA and LOB for deployments Managing environments: SIT, UAT, Production, COB Coordinating deployments, creating deployment documents, release plans, and run books Troubleshooting applications and middleware Mandatory Qualifications
7-8 years of related experience in release engineering, test support, SVN, Unix/shell/Perl/Python scripting, middleware support (WebSphere, WebLogic), build tools (ANT/Maven/Jenkins), and databases (SQL/Oracle) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical) Experience managing multiple tasks and working with distributed teams Additional Qualifications
