Job Description
Responsible for database support from development to production for critical eCommerce buyflows and applications.
Support site performance, high availability, reliability, recoverability, and database software maintenance.
Provide troubleshooting, analysis, and performance metrics for Oracle databases.
Deep familiarity with 3-tier eCommerce systems, RMAN, Veritas clustering, streams, standby databases, disaster recovery, and best practices.
Knowledge of Oracle Database Appliances, advanced replication, memory management, and pluggable databases is a plus.
Ensure availability, performance, security, backups, recovery, and problem resolution for databases.
Support database growth, disk space, patches, upgrades, and vendor support processes.
Must have strong critical reasoning skills and be self-directed.
This position is for a swing-shift DBA working 3pm – 11pm.
