Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Computer Systems Analyst/Help Desk Supervisor is responsible for: Developing and maintaining custom database applications using Microsoft Access. Overseeing the local data warehouse using SQL Server. Responding to IT support requests promptly. Administering the campus ticketing system. Supporting end-users including faculty, staff, and students both online and in person. Overseeing testing and upgrades for the Learning Management System (Canvas) and ticketing system. Supervising, training, and supporting the centralized IT Help Desk and student staff. Providing support and training for systems like TeamDynamix, Canvas, wireless connectivity, and account management. Configuring and maintaining the Canvas LMS, including settings and visual elements. Testing new releases and features of Canvas and the ticketing system. Staying current with evolving technologies. Maintaining operational and analytical reports. Migrating Microsoft Access databases to Power BI and SharePoint Lists where feasible. Designing, documenting, and developing software applications based on user requirements. Resolving data inconsistencies within student systems. Maintaining knowledge of the Student Information System (Banner). Administering the SQL Server Data Warehouse, including security. Developing data integrations using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Collaborating with IT staff and the Center for Academic Innovation. Documenting all software applications and databases. Supervising and scheduling student workers for the Help Desk. Providing backup support and broader IT system assistance. Communicating effectively with users and colleagues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field OR 2 years of experience developing MS Access databases or software programming professionally. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field. Proficiency with SQL Server & SSIS. Experience with Ellucian Banner. Supervisory experience. Experience with MS Access, MS Excel. Experience with PowerBI and SharePoint lists. Knowledge of C# or Visual Basic. Knowledge of Windows batch scripting and file transfer tools (e.g., Putty, AWS S3). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Operate typical office equipment. Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or training. Work in the office 40 hours a week.
