Job Description
Position:
SOA Suite WebLogic Server Architect Duration:
2 Weeks Scope of Work: Perform a discovery and investigation exercise of Client's current WLS infrastructure. Review Client's WLS platform infrastructure, architecture, operational processes, and production readiness. Review the physical environment where WLS is installed and deployed (covering hardware, storage, network and software). Review the current Oracle product installation, configuration, and deployment, including configuration for clustering, fail-over, and high availability. Review operational and maintenance processes including monitoring and backups. Review WLS usage specifics including user volume, response time, and concurrent sessions. Review your WLS application architecture, deployment processes, scripts, and practices. Review your WLS installation and configuration for applications and environments. Review application usage specifics such as messaging volume, message size, data reads/writes, and logging details. Review your WLS application design, including packaged vs. custom applications, Java EE applications, web services, GUI applications, and external service integration. Document findings and recommendations for future state and industry practices. Provide guidance to key stakeholders on the use of standard WLS features to align with business goals. Summarize findings, impacts, and recommendations in an engagement report and conduct briefings for stakeholders.
