Business Systems Analyst Duration:

3 years Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science. 10+ years of overall IT experience. 7+ years designing and implementing large enterprise applications. 5+ years as a business systems analyst, eliciting and documenting requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and training materials. Experience with full life cycle systems design and development. Knowledge of system analysis and requirements gathering principles. Experience with UML tools and techniques. Knowledge of quality assurance test methodologies. Experience with system implementation, data reconciliation, and user training. Thorough understanding of relational database concepts. Proficiency in SQL for ad-hoc queries. Extensive experience in requirements elicitation, process design, and functional specifications. Experience developing and executing test plans and scripts. Experience developing training materials and conducting staff training. Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to adhere to project plans and schedules. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Desired Additional Skills: Experience with government agencies or similar public projects. Knowledge of web design tools like Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Experience with development tools such as Clear Quest, Subversion, and Toad. Knowledge of test plan development and automated testing software.
