Job Title: Interventional Radiologic Technologist II

Hours per Shift: 10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Experience:
Must have one year of recent experience in an interventional lab performing peripheral vascular procedures, interventional radiology, and/or interventional cardiology.
Experience in coronary interventions preferred.
Experience with CPACS preferred.
License:
Current CRT required.
Current fluoroscopy permit required.
Certifications:
Current BLS required.
ACLS preferred.
RCIS preferred.
Must-Have:
Graduate of an accredited two-year school of x-ray technology.
Demonstrates competence in clinical specialty.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in complex situations.
Independent and reliable with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills in English.
Description:
The Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiologic Technologist II (CIRT) is registered by the state and possesses a fluoroscopy permit.
The CIRT has responsibilities and competencies with diagnostic, routine, and complex interventional cardiac angiographic and cardiac implant procedures.
The duties also include routine and complex vascular, peripheral vascular, non-vascular, interventional, and trauma procedures.
The technologist is also trained in OR radiographs.
CIRTs must have a combination of technical, radiologic, and clinical skills.
The CIRT is under the direction of the physician of record during a procedure.
The CIRT reports to clinical coordinators and the Director of Cardiology.
The CIRT has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, quality care.
Care is provided according to the specific physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patients.
The CIRT supports the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence.
Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills.
The CIRT delivers care that is specific to the special behavioral and needs within the scope of services for Cardiology.
Stand-by availability is required with a 30-minute arrival time.
