Experience in gathering requirements, designing, and developing scalable big data solutions with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Java, Pig, Python. Experience in developing Java code for Hadoop-based applications. Good knowledge of SQL Plus. Experience with distributed systems, large-scale non-relational data stores, MapReduce systems, performance tuning, and multi-terabyte data warehouses. Experience with Unix shell scripting and Oozie. Practical experience with implementation using Map-Reduce frameworks, databases, and SQL. Exposure to Hadoop capacity planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to show initiative and a desire to learn about the business. Ability to work independently and mentor team members.
