Senior Accountant Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Controller, youll oversee payroll, disbursements, and general ledger activity, while supporting audits, budgeting, and financial reporting. Youll collaborate across departments, including fund development and HR, and help maintain strong internal controls and financial transparency.

The Day-to-Day

• Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure accurate general ledger entries
• Lead monthly close processes and perform bank/account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and audit schedules
• Process payroll and ensure proper recording of compensation
• Support budget development and grant compliance reporting
• Partner with internal teams to improve processes and maintain financial integrity
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
