Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,796 per week in Stockton, CA

Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: CERNER experience required. All MyJourney modules need to be completed prior to arrival. Travelers will be pushed back if all modules are not completed. No exceptions. Unit requires Cath Lab Technologist with X-ray experience. Certifications must include BLS, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy. RCIS is not accepted. Call includes one night per week and one weekend per month. Description: The Cath Lab handles 15-20 cases per day. Experience with Siemens/Phillips equipment is preferred but not required. There is a charge nurse during the day and a circulating nurse after hours. Weekend call occurs every 6th weekend. The call crew stays until all cases for the day are completed. They will receive a day off following their call. Scrubs will be provided. Cardiologists and respiratory therapists are on standby or working 24/7. Ventilators are available, and respiratory therapists assist during applicable cases. Pharmacy services are in-house 24/7. Shifts may consist of 8, 10, or 12 hours with no floating required. Expect 1-2 days of unit orientation. The unit utilizes lasers, rotablators, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, and angiojet. The facility is a STEMI receiving center and manages many STEMI cases each month. Candidates must be comfortable with critically ill patients. Experience with peripheral and coronary circulation is required. Familiarity with Merge is a bonus. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
