Job Title: Cardiac Cath Tech Profession: Allied Specialty: Cardiac Cath Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R or RCIS Must-Have: Experience in Vascular with Endograft; experience in Interventional Radiology or a lab with vascular surgeons preferred Description: The Cardiac Cath Tech will work in a specialized environment focused on cardiac procedures. The facility has licensed beds and is recognized as a teaching hospital. The unit consists of dedicated cardiac and vascular rooms. Patient types include those with Cardiac NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, and vascular cases. The patient ratios in the Cath Lab are maintained at 1:1. The role involves supporting various patient procedures, including lower extremity angiograms and EVAR and TEVAR cases. There will be coordination with a traffic flow coordinator for scheduling and staffing. The team includes a charge nurse, VAD Team, RT for emergencies, ECMO team, and code team. Travelers are expected to take on call once every week and handle at least one holiday during their contract. The schedule includes rotating weekends, covering each other’s time off, and could involve extra call in events. Scrub color is designated and provided by the facility.
