As a
Robotic Systems Architect , you will provide strategic direction and governance for the overall robotic architecture within our Construction Business Unit. In this role, you will ensure alignment with the unit's product and service goals while leveraging your expertise in system architecture principles and design. You will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality, reliable, safe, and scalable systems that drive innovation and performance.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the overall system architecture for autonomous vehicle solutions in the construction space, ensuring alignment with business, safety goals, and technical requirements. Gather, analyze, and manage system requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clear documentation and traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Create functional block diagrams and system architecture diagrams to visualize and communicate system designs. Support Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) processes to ensure safety and compliance. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, System Engineers, Safety Engineers, and Project Managers, to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for robotic system architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Systems Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex systems involving hardware and software integration. Strong understanding of system architecture principles and methodologies for safety-critical systems. Proficiency in creating system requirements documents, functional block diagrams, and system architecture diagrams. Strong knowledge of autonomous vehicle technologies, including sensors, control systems, security, and communication protocols. Strong presentation skills with the ability to summarize reports and analysis for leadership, customer, and regulatory authority reviews.
