Legal Secretary III / Administrative Assistant (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support . This role involves handling diverse secretarial duties, managing legal documentation, and supporting attorneys with litigation and trial preparation.
• Maintain attorney calendars and tickler systems • Schedule meetings, court appearances, and coordinate with clients, experts, attorneys, and co-counsel • Review, route, and index mail for attorney review and calendaring • Draft and compose correspondence and legal memos • Maintain and organize electronic confidential legal files • Prepare discovery, pre-trial, and trial documents for filing with the court • Manage discovery scheduling and coordination for both plaintiff and defense cases • Provide legal secretarial support for both short- and long-term assignments • Answer and screen incoming calls • Transcribe dictation and prepare litigation-related correspondence and pleadings • Maintain current knowledge of court procedures and rules • Assist and provide backup support to other secretaries as needed • Participate in department and company projects General office administration responsibilities include answering phones, handling mail, maintaining office supplies, coordinating with building and IT services, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required • 4–7 years of defense trial and litigation experience in a similar setting • At least 3 years of recent California Civil litigation experience • Trial preparation experience • Proficiency in MS Word and case management software; ability to type 70+ wpm • Ability to work independently with initiative
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually (Depending on experience and qualifications) Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, LTD, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, sick time, and paid holidays.
