12+ months Description: Virginia Information Technologies Agency seeks a senior project manager to plan and deliver complex infrastructure service transitions supporting the Commonwealth of Virginia. Candidates must be PMP certified with extensive experience managing multiple IT priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will initiate, plan, and execute timely, quality transitions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The project manager will collaborate closely with VITA Service Leads, the IT Infrastructure Services Program Management Office, Commonwealth customers, VITA governance, executives, and Northrop Grumman to meet project objectives. Experience in delivering IT projects using project management tools is essential. Responsibilities include: Managing all aspects of the project Ensuring the project meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Project Serving as the single point of contact for business-related communication Coordinating activities with the new vendor/project manager Working with VITA's business units to coordinate tasks and deliverables Managing project risks and issues with response plans Facilitating decision-making with vendor project managers Resolving issues and managing actions Participating in weekly and monthly meetings Managing agendas and actions for IPT Teams Preparing monthly reports and administrative documentation Reporting to executive levels Creating and maintaining project schedules Monitoring deliverables and milestones Delegating responsibilities and ensuring closure of actions
