Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its Tampa, FL office. This position is designed for a driven attorney with 1 to 4 years of experience in complex litigation. Duties: Research complex legal and factual issues to support case strategies. Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents required for litigation matters. Participate in trial preparation, working closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategy. Assist in presenting oral arguments and advocating for clients in court. Collaborate with colleagues to handle multifaceted legal issues in various practice areas. Manage case files and ensure adherence to deadlines and procedural requirements. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing legal advice and updates as needed. Requirements: 1 to 4 years of relevant litigation experience, with a focus on high-stakes cases. Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to think strategically and analytically in complex legal scenarios. Experience drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment. Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission soon. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school. The top 10% of the class preferred. Participation in law review, moot court, or trial team is a plus. Judicial clerkship, particularly with a U.S. District Judge, is preferred. Certifications: Admission to The Florida Bar or eligibility for admission. Skills: Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. High level of motivation, with a focus on delivering quality work under pressure.
