Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, the Sr. Nurse Anesthetist will perform safe anesthesia care, including: Pre-operative assessment Writing of appropriate pre-op orders as specified by approved standard procedures Administration of all types of anesthetic and techniques Patient monitoring intra-operatively Providing for intra-op course and emergence Assisting in post-operative care Work may include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, totaling 40 hours per week, as well as on-call shifts. Work will be assigned to various ORs. Job Qualifications

Valid California RN and CRNA license Graduated from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia Current certification/re-certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC Ability to perform thorough pre, intra-operative, and post-operative assessments and formulate safe anesthesia care plans Skill in pre-operative assessment, including identification of pre-existing diseases, understanding drug interactions, recognizing physical examination abnormalities, and understanding surgical delays and consultations Ability to explain anesthetic techniques, risks, and obtain informed consent Ability to document anesthesia records comprehensively Skill in airway management and physiological monitoring interpretation Ability to insert monitoring lines under medical direction Knowledge of pharmacology related to anesthesia practice Skill in performing MAC, regional, and general anesthesia techniques Ability to recognize signs of safe emergence from anesthesia and manage patient transport and reporting Knowledge of current clinical education and research techniques, evidenced by experience, credentials, and licensure
