The Role At GRAM, operational excellence is a core strategic advantage. This role is for leaders who build the machine that builds the machine. You will design scalable, robust systems that enable our scientists and engineers to move faster. You will design the company's operating system from first principles to ensure that our lab, supply chain, and business functions are as thoughtfully engineered as our robots.

Key Responsibilities

Own the uptime, reliability, and serviceability of GRAM's deployed robot fleet.

Lead root-cause analysis for field failures; perform deep dives into hardware and software to identify fundamental solutions.

Develop and manage diagnostic tools, health monitoring systems, and maintenance procedures for the robot fleet.

Track and report key reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF); drive data-informed process improvements.

Collaborate with core R&D pods to champion design changes that improve reliability, durability, and serviceability of future robot generations.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or a related engineering discipline.

3+ years of experience in reliability, sustaining, or test engineering for a complex electromechanical product.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.

Data-driven mindset with experience in statistical analysis of failure data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a reliability engineering role for a robotics or autonomous systems company.

Expertise in reliability methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis).

Hands-on experience designing and building test fixtures and automation tools.

The ability to thrive in challenging field environments.

Location On-site role at our research lab in El Segundo, California. We offer relocation assistance for exceptional candidates.

Compensation

Company-wide base salary range: $75,000 - $300,000 USD, calibrated to impact potential.

Equity: Substantial ownership stake befitting founding team members.
