Overview
Position:
Human Resources Management Location: El Segundo, CA Required Security Clearance: Active TS with SCI eligibility Position Type/Standard Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours Company: BTAS, Inc. This role supports the Space Systems Command (SSC) programs and related initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations. The organization develops, integrates, tests, deploys, and sustains mission-critical systems across the acquisition life cycle to support national security objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist government operations with executive-level administrative support, office and personnel management, human resources management, and configuration/data management. Include research, statistical reporting, handling information requests, coordinating personnel and appraisal records, mail distribution, travel planning/reimbursement, and event arrangements.
Provide analysis and coordination support for government tasks using the Task Management Tool (TMT). Ensure compliance with SSC, Space Force, Air Force, and DoD policies; facilitate interactions with acquisition organizations; oversee the quality and completeness of acquisition and requirements documents.
Develop, modify, and maintain standard functional databases to support mission requirements. Plan transitions of program-specific software and databases into standardized systems as approved.
Manage government civilian recordkeeping and act as primary contact for civilian HR management. Provide guidance on civilian procedures, rules, and regulations. Assist in identifying vacant positions, creating requisitions justifications, completing personnel action requests, coordinating security waivers, and handling special manpower requests.
Support meeting administration, including scheduling, security controls, and minute taking. Use Microsoft Calendar; capture action items and distribute meeting summaries.
Assist with military and civilian awards and decorations processing, including tracking timelines, ordering plaques, updating recognition boards, and supporting awards board processes.
Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project or other Microsoft Suite tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Must be an SME Recognized Industry Leader.
At least 20 years of experience in civilian and military personnel management and administrative operations support, including Civilian HR, Military & Civilian Manpower, and Information Management/Operations Support, with five years in support of Air Force programs.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
Experience with Defense Civilian Personnel Data System.
Experience with Customer Support Unit App and Online Unit Manning Doc.
Other Details
Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise others.
Work Environment: Professional office environment; standard office equipment used.
Physical Demands: Must be able to operate a computer and standard office equipment; ability to remain stationary as required.
Travel: Little to no travel required.
Compensation / Salary Range: Full-time, salaried, exempt. Salary range: $130,000 – $181,000. Compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications.
